Claddoch– a gathering room found in a stone singer’s house with a fireplace at its center, surrounded by a table-like hearth and a sunken pit full of pillows, blankets, and cushions. Families often cook, eat, and sleep here.
Sky carriage– a common mode of transport throughout Ellandria, a cab pulled by a team of Pegasus
Fargael– “wind wanderer”- a large sleigh used to navigate the Black Mountains in rural, snowy areas, often pulled by grazhaks
Barrain– a baby harness, an ornate Ellandrian baby carrier/sling
Lòrachel– an Ellandrian suitcase, often etched with silver runes, believed to keep the case’s contents and its owner safe during perilous journeys
Ath Àrach – the staff of power and succession, handed down from one king to another
Leithrynn Korrum– Chain of Power, a livery chain, or a chain of office worn by the kyennard or kyenna of a clan, similar to the ones worn in medieval Europe
Lua Lav– “fast hand”, Ellandrian shorthand, the best method to capture spoken words (according to Aelred)
Innean– whirlpool of light that could transport one’s spirit to another dimension
Abacadh– coming of age ceremony
Fee Kell Ree– the Game of Kings, Ellandria board game similar to chess and ancient Tafl games
K’aeralu– a royal betrothal and covenant where each partner owns the other and all their possessions before, during, and after the formation of the mating the Bond, an ancient practice, often done to guarantee royal succession and lineage
K’aell Noov– the Divine Connection, the Bond between mates
Lantalach– continuation in a trial
Craik– barter of information between prosecution and defense.
Ard Féill– high feasts and grand dinners of importance

Aelorann– an Ellandrian time piece featuring a complex miniature sundial, a web of intricate gears and golden pointers that measure the passage of time. Two tiny golden orbs represent Ellandria’s twin suns casting shadows on the etched surface below. Four smaller silver spheres, mimicking the moons, circle the suns, their positions influencing the delicate interplay of light and shadow that mark the hours. Invented by Clann Gael.
Tennefeer– fire stone. Rare, volatile, and ridiculously expensive. Few people have access to it.
Tennebiers– ornate platforms used to transport dead bodies to the funeral pyres (elaborate, resuable gurneys made of metal and often embellished with each clan’s symbols.)
