The House of Wind (Clann Gael)
The House of Wind currently rules the United Kingdom of Ellandria. This house is known for its great mentalists, light shifters, weather shifters, and ice shifters. They work with the elements of air and light. Pale-haired, they live high in the northern mountains, in and around the town of Glenn Gael. Home to Hugh, Dale, Mira, Arienne, Navarre, Lyanna, and many others.
Dùnan Gael: The Kingdom of Wind (Clann Gael)
The House of Wind’s lands stretch across northeastern Ellandria and the Black Mountains. There are seven provinces, each named for its distinguishing features or general position. These areas were once small kingdoms before being united at the beginning of the First Dynasty.
- Èthirr– the coastlands, led by Lady Eilís
- Ardríoch– the highlands, led by Lord Arran
- Galdríoch– the lowlands, led by Lord Talfryn
- Làrran Farr– “the cold little kingdom,” the Northern province, led by Lord Sionn.
- Làrran Teth– “the warm little kingdom,” Southern province, led by Lady Ailsa.
- Làrran Muir– “the little sea kingdom”, Eastern province, led by Lady Moira.
- Làrran Skarn– “the little wild kingdom”, Western province, led by Lord Ruarc.
The Glenns: where the majority of the Aefraen (Super) population lives:
- Glenn Gael– the largest settlement and the capital of Clann Gael, led by Lord Gareff
- Glenn Areth– village led by Lady Catríona. Dagmar’s family lives here.
- Glenn Muirren– village led by Lord Liam, Lyanna’s brother, located on the other side of the mountains, near Mordù Geil
- Glenn Briath– village led by Lord Eoghan.
The Vales: the humans live in the lower vales, where the weather is milder. They are connected by Shadow Pass, an old smuggler’s trail. Here are a few mentioned so far (there are many more, some unregistered.)
- Arenvell– led by Eldred, Grunwald, Elspeth (Hugh visited this one)
- Llynvell
- Caeravell
- Dunfell
Other locations of note:
Mordù Geil– the Sea of Despair, a body of water north of the Black Mountains known for its harsh, unforgiving weather and icy waters. Its black sands yield riches beyond compare: iron ore, magnetite, and other elements used in forging, construction, farming, healing, and more. The lifeblood of Clann Gael’s economy, reflected in its colors.
The Dù Krahg– The Dark Chasm. A desolate place in the heart of the Black Mountains, where sheer cliffs rise thousands of feet, shrouded in perpetual mist. No vegetation grows there, no birds fly overhead. The very rocks seem to pulse with power, and the ground itself radiates heat. A forbidden zone rumored to harbor sleeping dragons.
