Times of Day

Ellandrians mark the day by the positions of the twin suns:
Erì Akad– First Sunrise, when the true sun, Hú rises
Erì Ada– Second Sunrise- when the false sun, Llyr rises.
Àrd Hu– High Hú- High noon or midday, when Hú reached its zenith
Àrd Llyr– High Llyr, when Llyr reaches its apex in the sky. Often early afternoon, somewhere around 2 or 3 pm, depending on the time of the year.
Lae Akad– First Sunset, when Llyr sets in the sky in the early evening
Lae Ada– Second Sunset, when Hú sets, late evening, often few hours later after First Sunset.
